Federal Trademark Registration
What is a Trademark?
A trademark can be a word, phrase, symbol, or design that uniquely identifies products or services provided by a company.
Simply forming a LLC or other company does not protect the name. In fact, even if you began using the mark first, if a registration is filed before you file, you risk the mark being trademarked by that party. A trademark protects your brand and affords you certain legal rights. This includes possible grounds for infringement on use. Additionally, a trademark provides a professional look and separates you from the competition!
We assist clients with registration of trademarks at both the State and Federal level. The process can be lengthy and confusing. We take the burden off of your hands and handle the registration process from start to finish. We offer affordable trademark packages as well as flexible payment options! Take a look below to find out more about our packages and pricing.
How Much Does It Cost?
The USPTO doesn’t charge per trademark, but rather according to how many different types of goods/services the applicant intends on selling under the trademark. The USPTO charges a flat fee of either $250.00 or $350.00 PER CLASS OF GOODS. Under the TEAS PLUS trademark application, which costs $250.00/Class, the trademark applicant is required to select the goods/services from a pre-set listing from the Trademark Identification Manual (TIM). Under the TEAS STANDARD trademark application, which costs $350.00/Class, the trademark applicant can draft their own unique description of the goods services. Depending on the complexity and individuality of the goods/services that you’re selling, you may be able to rely on the $250.00 application
We offer registration packages that start at $850 (per registration), plus the filing fee. We understand many small business are trying to keep cost low, so we allow the fee to be split into four monthly payments. The monthly payments are not inclusive of the filing fee. You must enroll in automatic billing, and make the first monthly payment to get started. Once your application is ready for submission, you must pay the filing fee. The application will not be submitted until the filing fee is paid.
